JUST ROLL WITH IT

  • KITCHEN RULES: be grateful, wash your hands, be polite, say please & thank you, ask if the chef needs help, eat your veggies, always try a bite of everything, kiss the cook, enjoy family time, clean up after yourself, don’t talk with food in your mouth.

A pinch of patience, a dash of kindness, a spoonful of laughter, a heap of love.

I sugar coat everything

That’s how I roll!

Rollin’ in the dough

Life is short; lick the bowl

Stir – bake – sprinkle

Where there is a wisk, there is a way.

All you knead is love

Dinner choices: take it or leave it.

Good things come to those who bake.

The main ingredient is LOVE

Whip it, whip it real good

Happiness is home made

Life is what you bake it.

Today’s menu: Chefs choice! No substitutions please!

When you love what you have, you have everything you need.

“Stressed” is “Desserts” spelled backwards.

Bless the food before us, the family beside us and the love between us. Amen.

Food has replaced sex in my life. Now I can’t even get into my own pants.

As someone who has seen every nook and cranny of that house, I can honestly say the decor blends fabulous as I roll from the kitchen into the dinning space. The use of color brights my day as I typically see the darkest and dirties spots of the house. The rolling pins inspire me to rock and roll. 😉

Love your favorite roomba….#2. P.S I won’t tell the others.

  • Favorite daughter, best fan!! says:

This is such a cute theme! It is on the list as one of my favorites because it’s so rustic. Your such a talented momma!! The humourous words with the wonderful photos keeps me rollin’ down the river!!!

I absolutely love the giant rolling pin over the island and your small details of the charms on the cake plate!!

    I love you.

Love your favorite daughter who is your best fan!!!!

I have been truly blessed in my life especially over the last 35 plus years with my wonderful wife. When she has to take down her theme from our kitchen she does go into a type of depression each and every time. But when you see the wheels turning or in this case the rollers rolling!! She quickly snaps back into the kind and thoughtful person she has always been. I am so lucky to have been the one to have kissed this cook many times in my life.
P.s. yes I can hardly get into my pants as well but I am loving every minute of it!

Clever post! I enjoyed the tour of your kitchen, the fun kitchen collectable (especially the rolling pins), and the various sayings and quotes.

  • This is the best darn crazy post I’ve ever read! Thanks for quite a few chuckles.

  • Terry Smart says:

Love it! I love all the different rolling pins and the unique hand towels and ribbons you have combined. Love all the little touches (the charms you sewed on the ribbon and the measuring spoons on the wreath) and seeing the things we pick up on all our shopping trips!

  • Barbara says:

I love it all..too much to mention each thing.. Especially the sayings between each picture…I want to say where in the world did you get all that stuff but then I know.. It’s just amazing how you can pick it all out one by one and then put it all together. You did it again girl. Loved it.

I see your malnourished dog has a grocery cart. Maybe he will gain some weight. Sewing the charms on the ribbon surrounding the cake stand is genius. My favorite is the bucket holding the antique rolling pins. Fabulous as usual.
