A CLASSIC RED CHRISTMAS

CHRISTMAS ISN’T ABOUT CANDY CANES OR LIGHTS ALL AGLOW, IT’S THE HEARTS THAT WE TOUCH AND THE CARE THAT WE SHOW.

THE MEANING OF THE CANDY CANE: MANY YEARS AGO, A CANDY MAKER WANTED TO MAKE A CANDY THAT SYMBOLIZED THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS – JESUS! THE HARD CANDY WAS SHAPED LIKE A “J” TO REPRESENT JESUS’ NAME. WHITE STANDS FOR THE PURENESS OF JESUS AND THE COLOR RED REPRESENTS THE BLOOD JESUS SHED FOR US.

WISHING YOU CANDY CANE WISHES AND MISTLETOE KISSES.

ADVICE FROM A CANDY CANE: STAND TALL, BUT BE PREPARED TO BEND A LITTLE. SHOW YOUR TRUE STRIPES. BE SWEET TO OTHERS. MAKE A VISIT WITH YOU BE REFRESHING. IF YOU DO CRACK UNDER PRESSURE, PICK UP THE PIECES AND CARRY ON.

SWEET BUT TWISTED… DOES THAT MAKE ME A CANDY CANE???

IF THERE IS LOVE IN YOUR HEART AND IN YOUR MIND, YOU WILL LIKE CHRISTMAS ALL THE TIME.

HE WHO HAS NOT CHRISTMAS IN HIS HEART WILL NEVER FIND IT UNDER A TREE.

CANDY CANE LANE

LOOK AT A CANDY CANE, WHAT DO YOU SEE? STRIPES THAT ARE RED LIKE THE BLOOD SHED FOR ME! WHITE FOR MY SAVIOR, WHO’S SINLESS AND PURE! “J” IS FOR JESUS, MY LORD THAT’S FOR SURE! TURN IT AROUND AND A STAFF YOU WILL SEE JESUS, MY SHEPHERD, IS COMING FOR ME!

Isaiah 9:6

NEVER X CHRIST OUT OF CHRISTMAS!

I JUST WANT TO EAT TURKEY IN MY PAJAMAS AND WATCH HALLMARK MOVIES.

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

WE DON’T NEED A LOT OF GIFTS AND STRESS THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON. WE NEED NIGHT TIME DRIVES TO SEE THE LIGHTS, WARM COCOA IN A MUG, FAMILY MOVIE AND GAME TIME. PEACE IN OUR HEARTS AND OUR HOMES. WE NEED JOY TO THE WORLD. WE NEED JESUS.

A “CASCADING ORNAMENT TREE” REFERS TO A CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATED WITH ORNAMENTS ARRANGED IN CLUSTERS THAT APPEAR TO FLOW DOWN THE TREE IN A CASCADING PATTERN, CREATING A VISUALLY DYNAMIC LOOK WHERE ORNAMENTS SEEM TO “WATERFALL” FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM, OFTEN ACHIEVED BY GROUPING ORNAMENTS TOGETHER AND STRATEGICALLY PLACING THEM ON THE BRANCHES TO CREATE A FLOWING EFFECT.

OH THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL, BUT THE FIRE IS SO DELIGHTFUL, AND SINCE WE HAVE NO PLACE TO GO, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW.

PLEASE LEAVE ME A COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING, IDEA AND VIGNETTE. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!

Gorgeous as usual! Janice, you have such an eye for decor. The way you put the vignettes together, they’re all a little different, but they go together beautifully. I love that little red tree. I’ve never seen one of those before. And with the gold, exquisite! I don’t know if you know this, but red is my favorite color. Christmas red and Christmas green are my favorites and I love to put the red and gold together in my decor. You take such care in every little vignette. Every time you look at the beautiful pictures you find something new. It’s absolutely gorgeous my friend. Merry Christmas.🎄

John: I like the tree with the blood of Christ shed for our sins. And the fur coat wine bottle cozies. Question, how do you chill the wine with fur coats on them.
Beth: likes the tree and the candy cane table mats.
Very nice, Janice. That’s a lot of red fur sure.
    Love you.

What can I say? This Christmas tree is unbelievable. When you showed me the sketch Janice, I knew it would be nice, but I didn’t know just how spectacular it would be. You had the vision and you charged me with making it happen. I love to decorate trees and you know it so you had faith that I could pull it off. As we went along, you had to help adjust the curve and the spillage onto the floor, especially. As usual, the pictures do not do the tree justice.. I wish I had taken a picture of the set up you had laid out to accomplish this endeavor. 8 foot tables all over your family room and ornaments by category and color and size spread out over those tables. I didn’t see how it was possible for that many items to go on a tree. Granted your tree is huge. I wish we had counted how many ornaments you wanted on it Many many hundreds, I’m sure. I don’t know how you can ever top that design, but I bet you will. I know how much time you put into that chandelier, but it turned out fabulous. I love your shoe table every time it shows up on your blog and the shoe cake stand and platter are absolutely adorable. I love the way you use the red and white striped candy in different places and continue that theme even on the dining table. Lastly to finish off this beautiful Christmas message you featured an obituary for Jesus. So moving and precious about our Savior.
